Alliances and Memberships
In order to provide our clients with the best Travels and Tourism services both national and internationally, Sentinel Travels and Tours have formed alliance with key companies in the industry to be able to provide the best possible services in the world.
NTDC
The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) is the apex tourism body responsible for promoting, marketing and disseminating information on the industry locally and internationally, through publication of handbooks, brochures and general guidelines for the operation of the industry. It collaborates with the private sector as well as other tiers of government in implementing policy directives and executing tourism projects. It coordinates the activities of organized private sector and tourism associations.
NANTA
National Association of Nigeria Travel Agents
We make reservation and buy tickets from every airline in Nigeria. The airline chosen in each case is dependent on the choice of the customer. In the light of the above, our travel agency Sentinel Travels and Tours is a registered member of NANTA (National Association of Nigeria Travel Agents.) As a member of this association, our agency is entitled to purchase tickets from any airline in Nigeria, amongst other benefits, which is beneficial to our customers.
IATA
International Air Transport Association
The International Air Transport Association is an international trade organisation of airlines with headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Airlines have been granted a special exemption to consult prices with each other through this body.
Originally founded in 1919, IATA brings together approximately 280 airlines, including the world's largest flights by these airlines comprise more than 95 percent of all international scheduled air traffic.
For customers, IATA simplifies the travel and shipping process. By helping to control airline costs, IATA contributes to cheaper tickets and shipping costs. Thanks to airline cooperation through IATA, individual passengers can make one telephone call to reserve a ticket, pay in one currency and then use the ticket on several airlines in several countries – or even return it for cash refund.
IATA is also a collective link between third parties and the airlines. Passenger and cargo agents are able to make representations to the industry through IATA and derive the benefit of neutrally applied agency service standards and levels of professional skill. Equipment manufacturers and third-party service providers are able to join in the airline meetings, which define the way air transport goes about its business.
